Music, activities draw families to Barneveld church – News – Times Telegram

BARNEVELD — Horses, goats and dogs — not to mention dozens of people — gathered outside CenterPoint Christian Fellowship Church in Barneveld on Saturday for the fourth annual Community Music Fest.

The free, all-day event featured several Christian bands — including the Grammy-nominated singer Rhett Walker — free food, a food drive for the nonprofit Feed Our Vets and children’s activities, including face painting, crafts, a goat-petting zoo and free horse rides. Backpacks filled were school supplies were handed out to 100 children.

Pastor Wayne Clemens said the festival is a chance to share his church’s blessings with the community. The church grounds encompass 50 acres and include an outdoor pavilion and a mile-long walking trail through the woods, which are open to the public, he said.
